MEET THE DIRECTOR
Marcus Flemmings is a British writer, director, and producer known for bold, character-driven stories that explore identity, race, and cultural tension. His most recent feature, White Guilt, won Best Feature at the 2024 British Urban Film Festival and was selected for Raindance Film Festival 2025.
He also wrote and produced Before Nikkah, a multi-award-winning drama that screened in cinemas across the UK this year — including sold-out shows at the BFI, Manchester, Birmingham, and Bradford, as well as in Paris. The film has had a strong run on the festival circuit, praised for its nuanced portrayal of modern relationships and religious expectations.
With a growing catalogue of independent features, Flemmings is fast establishing himself as a distinctive voice in contemporary British cinema.
