BARRY LEWIS is an award-winning short film scriptwriter who is now focused on developing his more ambitious TV and film projects. He has a varied back catalogue of scripts, many of which have received positive feedback including various competition winners and finalists with Bafta- Rocliffe and Filmmarket Hub.He regularly attends the London Screenwriters Festival (LSF) where he was the Script Factor winner in 2017. He continually enhances his craft by attending training courses with Raindance, Bang2write and is an active member of numerous networking groups.

Stemming from his childhood, his overriding passion has always been for comedies and historical dramas, this now significantly influences the direction to which many of his current scripts are developing.

The industry professionals he has worked alongside have found his approach to be refreshing and inspiring with many individuals happy to champion further collaborations with him.

This film tackled the subject of domestic violence within a lesbian relationship winning 3 awards including Best Drama, Editor and Actress at the 2012 Kent Film Festival. IT’S SPEED DATING CAPTAIN BUT … (2009) & WHO’S THE REAL EASTER BUNNY? (2007). Both are comedies that explore some of the eccentricities of people and of modern- day life. Both directed by Caroline Derrick.
