With a reach from Kent to Cannes, the Ramsgate International Film & TV Festival is an evolving festival with ambitions to be one of the biggest independent multi-platform festivals in the South of England. Thanet is the fastest growing tourism destination on the UK and boasts one of the country’s fastest growing creative industry sectors, and hot spot for location shoots. The Festival is now getting into its fourth year after three successful editions having attracted highly regarded international guests in the film and entertainment industries and visitors from around the world.
Dee Anderson, daughter of the famous husband and wife team Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, the creators of the cult television series’ Thunderbirds, has joined the Board of Directors as well Andy Mayson, Head of Altitude, one of the most prominent film company encompassing production, finance, international sales and UK distribution with a few Oscar winners on their catalogue. The Festival also welcomed networking guru Richard Selwyn-Barnett.
2020 will see the number of screenings and events tripled from its inaugural edition.
The Festival is also playing an important part in the local community with a year-round educational programme in the whole of Kent, working with schools in the most disenfranchised areas, engaging through children and young people through art and films.
We believe that the Ramsgate International Film & TV Festival is part of this success and we want to build long term partnerships with visionary businesses and supporters, who want to help us to build further the arts scene in East Kent, putting the area firmly on the film and tourism industry’s map.
Brenda Blethyn has associated her name with the festival since its inception as Patron because she believes in it.
We have various opportunities of sponsorship to link your company to an emerging festival very close to its community, with an outreach programme touching thousands of young people. Be part of it!
